Well Folks sorry for the prolonged absence it wasn’t out of choice I’ve just been so busy with work that I haven’t had time to post anything. It’s funny how in a depressed economy we seem to be working harder than ever for less and less money. Anyways now that my apologies are out of the way I’d like to commend Hydenceek for the stellar effort he’s done in keeping the Fiji Freedom Bloggers rolling on.
Not having watched the news lately I was dumbfounded by the latest rantings of our Intrepid Idiot who lives in that house on the hill on Ratu Sukuna Road, yes ladies and gentlemen none other than Fiji’s own Nacho Libre. Just when you thought it was safe to venture out without having to hear anymore asinine comments from the No School Commander Viavia Prime Minister, he comes up with these pearlers. This is in response to reports from Fijilive that Frank will be addressing the United Nations General Assembly. Click on the quotations below for the full story.
Fijilive
Bainimarama said the UN has invited him in his capacity as Fiji’s leader and he would go and “plead” Fiji’s case.“I’m going to New York next week. I have been invited by the General Assembly to make a speech. Every head of State goes up and speaks in the General Assembly and they have invited us,” he said.
“I will tell them what democracy is like in Fiji, like the one’s that you people think we should have.
When asked what he will be speaking on, Bainimarama said, “You go to the General Assembly and plead your case, you tell them what’s happening in Fiji, what you intend to do with regards to UN issues and come back a happy man”.
“One of the reasons we going there is to tell the international community what is happening in Fiji,” he added.
What Frank fails to understand is that what he perceives a s a ringing endorsement of his Interim Regime by being asked to address the UN General Assembly is in no way at all a declaration of approval from the UN. At the end of the day the UN General Secretary understands only too well that the legitimacy of the Interim Regime can only come from the people of Fiji. Let’s face it you can pretty much guarantee that there’s no ringing endorsement coming from the man on the street, work is scarce in a sluggish economy and investment isn’t flowing in even after all of Chaudhry’s vain attempts to kickstart, more like sabotage, the economy.
Frank should not expect any favours from any of the UN Bodies not after the UNHC for Human Rights shot Shyster Shamimi down in flames with a lesson in the language of diplomacy. The UN is well informed of the situation on the ground in Fiji as there are numerous highly qualified Fiji Officers, now serving in the UN with disticntion, who have had their careers shortened prematurely because of their unwillingness to support Bainimahendra. They are most definitely keeping their superiors in the loop on the latest goings on in Fiji.
Also don’t expect any of the horse trading for support from our traditional trading partners and Neighbours from around the Pacific. Especially after they have had egg thrown on their face by the Interim Regime’s inability to adhere to a credible Roadmap to Democracy
The UN General Assembly has a history of allowing Dictators and Terrorists to address the Genreal Assembly, at the end of the day it is part and parcel of the democratic ideals on which the Organisation was founded to allow despots and tyrants a fair hearing no matter how despicable they may be. You may recall that Terrorist leader and PLO Headman Yasser Arafat gave his famous speech, click on the link for details, where he stated for posterity, “Today I have come bearing an olive branch and a freedom fighter’s gun. Do not let the olive branch fall from my hand.”
Ten bucks for anyone’s guess as to what our own terrorist Frank will be saying to make his mark on history…..
Methinks it’ll be a case of “Moce Jo, Au Sa Dro…..” as Frank will be too ‘lamu’ to leave Fiji for New York let alone the Pacific Forum in Tonga. He’ll probably hold his speech from the Veiuto Grounds where he seems to be spending a lot of time playing touch lately. Then again the kids at that school could probably make more sense than him when speaking in public.
Perhaps when Voreqe’s in jail, or dead and buried, the students of Veiuto Primary can perform an item dedicated to the illustrious idiot. At the next Tadra Kahani they can dress up as Qarase’s SDL Cabinet and sing the Sister Sledge Classic “Frankie Do You Remember Me?”
A cava tale Voreqe, uh, uh, uh?? Na Rere Tiko Vei Iko!!! Qito touch rakavi tiko……Mai na polo, mai na polo!!
