Today’s Fiji Times reported on Bainimahendra’s intention to personally REPRESENT his Illegal Interim Regime at the upcoming Pacific Islands Forum Meeting to be held in Tonga in October. Click on the link below to read the entire article.
Prime Minister to Attend Forum.
I wonder whether Frank will pull his shrinking violet act again. There have been numerous occassions where he has shirked the opportunity to explain his position on the regional and international stage. Case in point the Forum Meeting in Vanuatu earlier this year, the American Congressmen next week click on link for full story and their counterparts from the US Senate a few months back. While it is one thing to get away with making stupid statements within the confines of Fiji’s borders, I honestly believe that he will freeze like a deer in the headlights when presenting his case in Tonga.
Even as recently as last week the FRU was to make a submission to the Interim Regime requesting additional funds for the Rugby World Cup. The meeting was agreed upon by Frank and the FRU Board and all set to take place. The FRU party consisted of the Chairman Keni Dakuidreketi, CEO Rt. Timoci Tavanavanua, Pio Bosco and Mosese Nailumu. A short time before the party was ready to present their paper to Frank they received a telephone call from his secretary. She informed them that the FRU can present their submission but Keni Dakuidreketi is not to be present. It’s another case of Frank being unable to front up face to face, to people he’s unceremoniously dumped from certain positions.
While in Tonga it will be interesting to see whether he pulls out his favourite, but now overused, phrase “We can argue about democracy and elections until the cows come home.” If I were Epeli Nailitikau I would be doing everything possible to see that Frank does not come within ten feet of a microphone. He might get carried away and deliver another trademark rabble rousing speech best left for the passing out of cadets.
Nailatikau: Hey Voreqe why don’t you get Aiyaz or Me to speak on your behalf?
Voreqe: Kua ni leqa taka, au sa vakavarau makawa na noqu speech… Rogoca mada “When the cows come home from India and China….
Nailitikau muttering under his breath: Bai Karaik and they call me Naiulukau……
Voreqe: …… then and only then, yeah that’s right Helen baby, only then we will have fresh elections!!”
Chaudhry thinking to himself: Aareh wa… I should’ve just kept my mouth shut before getting involved with these nutcases. No more Australian, US, EU or NZ visas… I wonder what it’s like this time of year in Mumbai??… Yeah Mumbai Bollywood… I could handle that I could….Direct from Bollywood!!Mandrake live and unleashed!!…. Lovely Jubbly!!
Voreqe: Hey Mahen, you seem lost there Tamana. What you thinking? You want to take off somewhere? Hahaha. What you think of my speech? Too good nai?
Chaudhry: Io Boso, tops man, top speech. You gonna knock them speechless, what say Aiyaz… whispering asides ‘Agree quickly before we find ourselves on a slow boat to China boy’
Aiyaz: Yes, absolutely Sir, most impressive speech, couldn’t have said it any better. It will go down in history as one of the most memorable oratory expositions alongside Martin Luther King’s ‘I had a dream..’ and JFK’s ‘Ask not what you can do for your country…’
Voreqe: Ia Ia….Watch out Forum… Fee Fi Fo Fum Tailevu no leqa here I come!!
Yeah watch out Forum ka dina, the smart money says if he really does go he’s going to leave the talking to someone else. Or he may just give the whole thing a miss as he’ll be too paranoid to leave the country for fear of being removed as Commander/PM.
LOL! Excellent transcript there my boy! You can go to the front of the class now. RTNC! LOL! I dunno how you keep dreaming up this kinda stuff but its too good! Keep it up Fugged!

He can’t go then – he’s being fitted for a new uniform or two! That last lot didn’t have enough padding in the shoulders – besides, they’re so last season

The Pacific Forum has not invited Fiji to Tonga yet and NZ & Australia will do their best to make sure bananasinpyjamas does not get invited.
If, by some slim chance he does get invited, how is silly bananasinpyjamas going to get to Tonga?
Is there a direct flight from Suva to Tonga? I seem to recall an illegal minister getting a special visa to transit through NZ to go Tonga for a funeral so I am thinking that there is not. Bananasinpyjamas is not going to be allowed through NZ to go on commercial flights.
So maybe he could charter an Air Pacific plane for his trip. They have a couple of 747s sitting doing nothing at the moment so these would be ideal form of transport. As these planes hold 500 people, imagine all the speech writers he could take with him. But I think, because he is such an important person (not), they could take most of the seats out so that he had the 1st class cabin all to himself. They could repaint the plane so that it looks like a banana (republic) and call it AirForce 1. Won’t this make an impression on Ms Clark who will arrive in a little RNZAF jet. Who cares about the cost; it’s only money.
If Air Pacific won’t play along with this plan, maybe he could go in one of his patrol boats. He could get Fullchow to drive. As he will need to take all military officers of lieutenant or above with him so that they don’t have a coup d’etat while he is away, the boat will be rather crowded so the plane is the best option. Besides, an Australian sub in the Pacific might think the patrol boat is suspicious and torpedo it.
If he did manage to get to get there, who would want to sit next to him OR stand near him for the group photo. At previous meetings, we have seen TV footage of 2 leaders walking slowly through a resort whilst they discuss some agenda item privately. You can imagine the line up of people who would want to take bananasinpyjamas for a walk next to a cliff.
My betting is that he will be too busy that week so will be unable to go.

HnC: Thanks and RTNC to you and yours as well my boy.
Tim: I believe he’s going for the classic Napoleon cut of military apparell, although we can only hope that he meets his Waterloo sometime soon.
Ex Fiji Tourist: unfortunately there are direct Air Fiji flights to Tonga but with the current situation I don’t know whether they’re still going or not. As for the Fiji Naval Patrol Boat I think it’s been awhile since the Banana Brigade actually hit the open water.
These days they’re too comfortable on dry land, cruising around in the repossessed Government Prados and Pajeros they promised to sell off when they first embarked on this exercise in stupidity. Funnily enough those vehicles all have private number plates now.
However I concur that he will find some pathetic excuse to give the whole thing a miss.

Good call on Frank’s paranoia reasons for not wanting to leave Fiji, Fgd! Maybe that’s why he also doesn’t want to go to India to get his health check-up/treatment, too.

Reminds of something I heard in Nadi early this year, about Voreqe wanting to meet with the local boss of Fiji Water.
The american CEO of Fiji Water flew all the way over to Nadi with his entourage to make it a meeting of “professional heads”, and booked the meeting room in the new hilton @ denarau. The professional entourage then waited at the hilton reception area to greet voreqe and his “entourage”. Tourists and locals who were there (this is where i got my story from) were curious when a naval officer turned up in full uniform with his bodyguards – none other then Teleni himself. The “busy” voreqe was “late” so Teleni greeted the Fiji Water group in the reception lounge and just stood around saying “he’s on his way”! The american group wanted to move off to their meeting room and wait there, but Teleni didnt’ get any hints given to him so they just stood around the reception lounge, scaring the guests etc. remember this was still early in the year and news of any presence of military uniforms spread like wildfire.
eventually, Teleni told the american group that voreqe wasn’t coming much to the hidden chagrin of the Fiji Water group who could nothing but give their pleasant goodbyes.
Not sure what happened afterwards whether they got to meet later, but the american group was not impressed at all! drinks later that night got the reaction out of the entourage who were too stumped to voice their opinions and just played it cool in case their reaction was published.

Good One Fugged….but hhhheeeeelpppp we are being led by a real NUT!! And he seems to think he has got it all together, speaking in his street language and really thinking he is really doing a marvelous job!!! (Did anyone see his recent interview with the NZ reporter about the NZ HC Michael Green’s case…. hheeelllppp X20)It’s obvious people like Khaiyum, Chaudary & the likes are using him to serve their own agendas and really doesn’t give a shit what he says as long as they get what they want, but I cant believe that those who are close to him (O ira na kaiviti vata)and with a little more upstairs are somewhat embarrased by obvious lack of grey matter, diplomacy, manners …uummm.. well everything decent and would at least be trying to advise him better. How can they sit there and acccept all of this? Or maybe its too late and they are playing to his tune or really have no say.
