Recent information posted to me has revealed that a very prominent Indigenous Fijian lawyer has decided to be part of the legal team that is representing certain High Chiefs against Epeli Ganilau. Contrary to what has been reported previously in the media the High Chiefs will not be requiring the services of an overseas based Queens Counsel. According to sources he may also act as lead counsel. Stay tuned for further updates.

Interesting news.
If this is true, it could be anyone of several senior lawyers, Tevita Fa, Isireli Fa, Apaitia Seru, Sevuloni Valenitabua, Rabo Matebalavu, Osea Tuberi and several others. If any one of these lawyers joins the GCC legal team, their input will only serve to boost the capable representation already shown by Vuataki and Rt Savenaca so far.
We need all the help we can get.
I agree though that there should be no Queens Counsel. We have capable lawyers here in Fiji.
HnC will keep its ears to the ground and try to learn more on this.
